Maik Schmaltich of SAP describes in this video the new cloud catalyst service and what it brings to customers. Though many companies already use cloud solutions, there is no single way to transition to the public or private cloud from a traditional on-premise deployment. As a result, companies face hybrid landscapes when implementing and spanning business processes across on-premise and cloud infrastructures.

The cloud catalyst service  offers a bundle of analysis and a selective migration road map to lower the entry barrier for using infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) for on-premise landscapes. The service also addresses how public and private cloud delivery models can be used in a hybrid manner to fulfill business demands for increased agility by a scalable and cost-efficient infrastructure.
