Google’s projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it’s your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project’s progress and deadlines.
As a Program Manager, you will play a key role in the development and management of our operations. You will work in close partnership with outsourced vendors and various internal operations teams. You will manage the performance of the vendor operations program to ensure that we are meeting service deliverables. You will focus on scalable solutions, operational execution, and vendor relationship management. The vendor operations will support a wide range of processes that touch on just about every one of Google’s products. Qualified candidates will use their experience, knowledge, and creativity to manage this diverse portfolio of projects for partners across the company..
Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall performance of the program in terms of productivity, quality, and delivery of service. Ensure all aspects of vendor SLAs are consistently met.
- Contribute to the management of the overall relationship with the onsite vendor workforce. Monitor cost, quality, and delivery of service.
- Participate in regular business reviews, vendor relationship management activities, workforce planning, and budgeting activities in coordination with internal teams.
- Work closely with various internal groups to understand business requirements, implement new processes, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
- Drive improvements in all relevant metrics e.g. costs, turnaround time, quality, productivity.
Minimum qualifications:
- B.Tech/ BE. (In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience)
- 8 years of experience in operations, contracts management, procurement, and vendor management.
Preferred qualifications:
- MTech / MBA degree.
- Business development experience for any 3rd party vendors.
- Business process improvement and project management expertise.
- Experience in process management systems such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, or TPS
- Experience with outsourcing (including offshore) agreements and running end-to-end operations.
- Communication and negotiation skills; Strong analytical and Strong leadership, management, communication and collaboration skills, negotiation skills, problem solving capabilities and ability to build strong relationships with cross functional partners and

We define and communicate product policies, and we defend Google’s integrity by fighting spam, fraud and abuse across Google products. The PQO team ensures product quality for the company’s expanding base of advertisers, publishers and users in more than 40 languages. We partner with Engineering to combat fraud and abuse across major products like Search, AdWords, AdSense, Google+, Wallet, and Maps. PQO team members are motivated to find innovative solutions and use technical know-how and proactive communication to work across functions to defend the user.
